Base-Chopped, Small and Light JT-30
Gloss Black Paint, Chrome Grill
Awesome Crunchy Tone!
High-Impedance Harmonica Microphone
Vintage 1960 Shure Controlled Magnetic
99H86 038 element
Fully Tested and Working
This is a kind of unique JT-30 with a chopped base making the mic lighter and easier to hold for small hands. It’s newly rewired, with a new Switchcraft cable connector, premium volume control knob, new element gasket, and a really great-sounding Controlled-magnetic element from 1960. I’ve also added a dual windscreen behind the grill featuring marine-grade stainless steel mesh and white nylon cloth.
Tone-wise, this mic is bright and HOT. Better than any of the new harp mics available today.
This CM element is in wonderful cosmetic shape, but the sound is what’s important, and it howls!
The mic features:
– Strong 1960 Shure 99H86 038 element
– Integrated Volume Control
– Switchcraft 5/8” screw-on connector
– 1085 Ohms, Strong element
– Custom stainless steel mesh
– Powder coat with gloss topcoat
Excellent cosmetic condition, but a few nicks and scuffs on the grill, and the tone is gritty and awesome.
