Great fluid distortion! Hot
High-Impedance Harmonica Microphone
Vintage 1979 Shure Controlled Magnetic
99B86 SF element
Fully Tested and Working
This is a chopped, milled, and powder coated bullet mic head variously manufactured for Pearce Simpson, GC Elecronics, Sherwood and Radio Shack. The shell is noteworthy for it’s distinctive ribs. These might make the mic easier to hold as well. Anyway, it’s cool looking.
I’ve added a Switchcraft 5/8” screw-on connector and a volume control for on-stage flexibility. This shell weighs about the same as a Shure Green Bullet, and has a nice chrome grille case and Radio Shack badge. Additionally it has a premium aluminum volume control knob for good looks. I'm including two knobs incas you want a smaller one for your style.
Tone-wise, this mic is hot and has great controlled distortion when cupped, and clear tone when open. This 99B86 CM element sound is what’s important, and it howls!
