Bright and Crunchy Tone!
1940’s High-Impedance Harmonica Microphone
Vintage 1969 Shure Controlled Magnetic
99A86 JK element
Fully Tested and Working
Here’s a lovely Astatic Biscuit harp mic, with an excellent, strong CM element from 1969. I’ve also added a dual windscreen behind the grill featuring marine-grade stainless steel mesh and black nylon cloth. The paint is good with some scratches and scuffs.
This element is strong, with a nice crunchy distortion throughout, and excellent Bass tone.
The mic is newly rewired, and a Switchcraft 5/8” screw-on connector has been added. I’ve also installed a new silicone gasket to keep the element in place and reduce any handling noise.
The mic features:
– Strong 1969 Shure 99A86 JK element
– 1042 Ohms
– Custom stainless steel mesh
– New wiring
– New Switchcraft connector
Good cosmetic condition, with scuffs and scratches to the original brown bullet shell paint.
