Fully Tested and Working

Here’s an ugly, but beautiful Astatic Biscuit harp mic, with an excellent, strong CM element. The paint is all original, and in rough shape, with plenty of  scratches and scuffs from 85 years since it was made. A Biscuit with a model tag is fairly rare to find. This on is from Youngstown, before Astatic moved to Conneault, Ohio in the 1950’s

This element is strong, with a quite excellent crunchy distortion throughout, and excellent bass tone

The mic is newly rewired, and a Switchcraft 5/8” screw-on connector has been added. I’ve also installed a new custom silicone gasket to keep the element in place and reduce any handling noise.

The mic features:
– Strong Shure 1974 99A86 NH element
– 1025 Ohms
– New wiring
– New Switchcraft connector
– Marine-grade wire mesh with black polyester cloth

Rough cosmetic condition, with scuffs and scratches to the original brown bullet shell paint.
