Fully Tested and Working
Here’s a lovely Astatic Biscuit harp mic, with an excellent, strong Shure White Label Controlled Reluctance element from 1955. The paint is good with some scratches and scuffs. There is also some fine bubbling on Chrome face grill. Removable stand is included, show it off between playing. The Biscuit is a really cool size and shape for cupping.
This element is strong, hot, and has a nice crunchy distortion throughout, and excellent Bass tone.
The mic is newly rewired, and a Switchcraft 5/8” screw-on connector has been added. I’ve also installed a new silicone gasket to keep the element in place and reduce any handling noise.
The mic features:
– Strong 1955 Shure 99H86 element
– 1020 Ohms
– New wiring
– New Switchcraft connector
– Display stand
Good cosmetic condition, with scuffs and scratches to the original brown bullet shell paint. Chrome is pretty clean, but not perfect.
