Rare Shure 707A Shure Small Shell, All New Chrome.
Awesome Fat Tone!
High-Impedance Harmonica Microphone
Vintage 1953 Shure Controlled Reluctance
Black Label 99H86 326 element
Fully Tested and Working
Hard to find Shure small shell size, which is about 1/8” smaller diameter than a standard Green Bullet. This mic has the original Shure Brothers Chicago tin tag.
Inside it has been rewired, with a Switchcraft screw-on cable connector, new element gasket, and a great-sounding Shure Controlled-Reluctance element from 1953.
Tone-wise, this mic is bright, and strong, with excellent honk when cupped hard. It’s a great sound, and pretty too.
Note: There is one minor flaw in the chrome. On the bottom of the grill, there is one protruding dimple. Look at the photographs carefully before purchasing.
The mic features:
– Strong Black Label element
– 1953 Shure 99H86 336
– Switchcraft 5/8” screw-on connector
– Rough cosmetics
– All New Chrome
– Excellent tone
So if you want that vintage mojo, and are less concerned with looks, more interested in great tone, then this mic is right for you.
