1960’s Astatic JT 30 Bullet Mic, Shure Controlled Magnetic Element, Original Base

This is quite a find. A 1960’s Astatic JT-30 in good cosmetic condition with original Astatic microphone stand. The original element was dead, so I rewired it with a 1980 Shure Controlled Magnetic element. It’s got a nice, strong, fat bottom, ready for the stage.

The shell has a few scuffs. The grill shiny and bright. Plenty of Mojo. The original hammertone metal Astatic base and wood stand are in good condition. The microphone head unscrews easily from the brown-painted wood handle.

And this Shure element is sweet. Great tone, with strong output.
