Late 1940’s Brown Bullet JT-30
Chrome Grill
Excellent Crunchy Tone!
High-Impedance Harmonica Microphone
Vintage 1960 Shure Controlled Magnetic
99H86 032 element
Fully Tested and Working
A beautiful Astatic JT-30 in decent cosmetic condition, with the chips and scuffs from 60+ years of use. It's newly rewired, with a Switchcraft cable connector, new element gasket, and a really great-sounding Controlled-magnetic element from 1960. I’ve also added a dual windscreen behind the grill featuring marine-grade stainless steel mesh and white nylon cloth, and a custom volume control with premium knurled aluminum knob.
Tone-wise, this mic is hot and crunchy. Better than any of the new harp mics available today.
This CM element sound is what’s important, and it howls!
The mic features:
– Strong 1960 Shure 99H86 032 element
– Original Brown Paint
– Original B-Series Tin Badge
– Integrated Volume Control
– Brushed Aluminum Knurled Knob
– Switchcraft 5/8” screw-on connector
– 1109 Ohms, Strong element
– Custom stainless steel mesh screen
Road-worn cosmetic condition, but the grill is excellent. The tone is gritty and awesome.
The mic has been tested on a Mission Chicago 30 watt amp, and on a lovely little Kalamazoo Model Two amp. It performs great on both.
