Full Custom Turner +2, 254 Bullet Mic
Hot and Crunchy Great Bass
High-Impedance Harmonica Microphone
Vintage 1968 Shure Controlled Magnetic
99A86 HG Element
Fully Tested and Working
A chopped, milled, and gloss black powder coated bullet mic head from a classic Turner desk microphone. It’s been beheaded, and milled to remove the center mohawk rib on the top. This makes the mic a nice small diameter, easy-to-hold, and stage-ready.
I’ve added a Switchcraft 5/8” screw-on connector and volume control for on-stage flexibility. This shell is light, and has a nice chrome grille case and original Turner model +2 grill badge. Additionally it has a vintage slotted volume control knob for good looks. The element is set in a Blows Me Away custom gasket.
Tone-wise, this mic is strong and crunchy, with great bass. It's got great controlled distortion when cupped, and clear, crisp tone when open. This CM element sound is what’s important, and it has excellent sound!
The mic features:
– Strong 1968 Shure 99A86 HG element
– All new Powder Coat
– Premium Volume Control Knob
– Switchcraft 5/8” screw-on connector
– 1035 Ohms, Strong element
– All new wiring
Excellent cosmetic condition, but a few imperfections in the grill. Look at all the photographs please..
The mic has been tested on a Mission Chicago 30 watt amp, and on a lovely little Kalamazoo Model Two amp. It performs great on both.
