High-Impedance Harmonica Microphone
Vintage 1950 Shure CR Element
99A86 950 element
Fully Tested and Working
This is a chopped, milled, and powder coated bullet mic head from a classic Turner desk microphone. It’s been beheaded, and milled to remove the center mohawk rib on the top. This makes the mic a nice small diameter, easy-to-hold, and light.
I’ve added a Switchcraft 5/8” screw-on connector and a volume control for on-stage flexibility. This shell weighs 10 ounces, and has a nice brushed chrome grille case and original black Turner 454.
Tone-wise, this mic is hot and has great controlled distortion when cupped, and clear tone when open. This 1950 Shure Black Label CR element sound is what’s important, and it has excellent tone!
The mic features:
– Strong 1950 Shure 99A86 950 element
– Black Label Controlled Reluctance
– All new Powder Coat
– Premium Volume Control Knob
– Switchcraft 5/8” screw-on connector
– Protective Carry Case
– All new wiring
– (Cable Not Included)
Excellent cosmetic condition.
The mic has been tested on a Mission Chicago 30 watt amp, and on a lovely little Kalamazoo Model Two amp. It performs great on both.
