Great looks. Great guts. The powder coat is a warm, sparkling honey-colored pearl color custom cooked by Prismatic.
Chopped, milled, and powder coated, this bullet mic is built from a classic Johnson desk microphone. I’ve removed the center mohawk rib on the top. This makes the mic a nice small diameter, easy-to-hold, and light.
I’ve added a Switchcraft 5/8” screw-on connector and a volume control for on-stage flexibility. This shell weighs 10 ounces, and has a nice gloss chrome grille ring. The grill face features a pristine metal Turner medallion.
Nice hot, excellent tone!
The mic features:
– Strong 1954 Shure 99H86 405 element
– Black Label Controlled Reluctance
– All new Powder Coat
– Premium, Solid Aluminum Volume Control Knob
– Switchcraft 5/8” screw-on connector
– All new wiring
– (Cable Not Included)
Excellent cosmetic condition. Couple dimples in the powder coat. Look at the photos closely.
The mic has been tested on a Mission Chicago 30 watt amp, and on a lovely little Kalamazoo Model Two amp. It performs great on both.
