Vintage 1973 Shure Controlled Magnetic 99A86 Element
Fully Tested and Working

The powder coat is a gloss Pearl Black color. Look carefully on the bottom though, there are some flaws in the powder coat.

Chopped, milled, and powder coated, this bullet mic is built from a classic Turner desk microphone. This makes the mic a nice small diameter, easy-to-hold, and light.

I’ve added a Switchcraft 5/8” screw-on connector. This shell weighs 10 ounces, and has a nice gloss chrome grille ring. The grill face features a dimensional metal Johnson Radio medallion. Pretty rare look.

Great looking, and great sounding. Full, rich, and raspy distortion!

The mic features:
– Strong 1973 Shure 99A86 element
– Controlled Magnetic
– All new Powder Coat
– Switchcraft 5/8” screw-on connector
– All new wiring

Excellent cosmetic condition. Some dimples and bubbles in the powder coat. Look at the photos closely.

The mic has been tested on a Lafayette vintage tube amp. It performs great.
