The powder coat is a bright, sparkling Pearl Red color. Look carefully on the bottom though, there are some flaws in the powder coat, kind of like acne on a beautiful girl.
Chopped, milled, and powder coated, this bullet mic is built from a classic Realistic desk microphone. I’ve removed the center mohawk rib on the top. This makes the mic a nice small diameter, easy-to-hold, and light.
I’ve added a Switchcraft 5/8” screw-on connector and a volume control for on-stage flexibility. This shell weighs 10 ounces, and has a nice white powder coat grille ring. The black grill face features a dimensional metal Realistic medallion. Pretty rare look.
Great looking, and great sounding. Full, rich, and raspy distortion!
The mic features:
– Strong 1955 Shure 99G86 543 element
– Controlled Reluctance
– All new Powder Coat
– Premium, Solid Aluminum Volume Control Knob
– Switchcraft 5/8” screw-on connector
– All new wiring
– (Cable Not Included)
Excellent cosmetic condition. Several dimples and bubbles in the powder coat. Look at the photos closely.
The mic has been tested on a Mission Chicago 30 watt amp, and on a lovely little Kalamazoo Model Two amp. It performs great on both.
