Blues Harp Microphones

If you’re looking to improve your harmonica tone when playing amplified, you can reap huge benefits from using a good, vintage microphone. The consensus is, that using old chicago-style harp elements gives you a far richer, muscular, and gritty sound. I rebuild harmonica microphones from vintage parts, including shells, elements, volume controls, cable connectors and custom gaskets.

These microphones are used, but each is carefully built using the best vintage parts available. Each mic is individually tested for function and tone by yours truly. The sound elements are vintage Shure Controlled-Magnetic or Controlled-Reluctance units, and these are installed with custom silicone gaskets for protecting the element, sealing the chamber, and adding to that great vintage harp tone.
